License Types

We offer several license options tailored to professional and academic use. All licenses are available as a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Optional upgrades are generally provided free of charge if you keep your software up to date.

Single User License (Professional Use)

This license allows installation on one business computer and one laptop or home computer, provided the single registered user is the primary operator of each installation.

Multi-User Site License (Professional Use)

This license permits installation on up to 10 computers or workstations at a single location. Multiples may be purchased for larger offices or multiple branch locations.

Academic Licenses (Instructional Use Only)

Academic licenses are strictly for educational or instructional use within an accredited educational institution.

• Instructor - Single User: For individual instructors at an accredited educational institution.

• Instructor - Site License: For installation on all computers within one lab or classroom at an accredited educational institution.

To order academic licenses, please contact us by phone. We accept official purchase orders from accredited schools and municipalities.

System and User Requirements

Minimum User Requirements

Licenses are available for use in the United States and Canada only. Proper use of the software requires a fundamental knowledge of structural design, local building codes, and construction practices, as stated in the license agreement. BeamChek is designed as a tool for experienced structural design professionals. By using the software, you agree to the terms outlined at the bottom of the demo page title. "Software License Agreement".

Minimum System Requirements

The software runs on a PC operating Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10, or 11 (32-bit or 64-bit). An individual PC installation (approximately 7 MB) is recommended for networked environments.

Note for Mac Users: We do not offer a native macOS version. However, many offices successfully run BeamChek using emulation software or on Intel-based Macs running Windows.

Ordering and Delivery Process

Pricing and Payment

Prices are listed in US Dollars. Washington State residents will have sales tax added to their order.

Purchase orders are accepted exclusively from municipalities and accredited schools. Orders using a purchase order must be placed by phone or mail and must include a signed and numbered purchase order with complete contact information.

Software Delivery and Licensing

Software is provided exclusively via internet download. We no longer ship CD-ROMs or hard copy manuals. All publications, including the full manual (also available within the software help file), can be accessed anytime on our Publications Page. We strongly recommend new users review the "BeamChek Examples" on this page.

Receiving Your License

Your order acknowledgment email will include a temporary unlock code for the demo version, allowing immediate full use of the software.

We will contact you via email within 1-2 business days with a receipt, permanent unlock code, and your official license registration number (or a verified registration number if you are upgrading).

Please note: Permanent registration numbers and unlock codes are typically sent the same day we receive and process your order. If you do not receive the email within 24 hours, please check your spam folder.
